Pardeeville District Ambulance Service was founded in December of 1998, it was an all-volunteer service that provided 911 coverage at the EMT-Basic level to the Villages of Pardeeville and Wyocena, along with the Townships of Marcellon, Wyocena, Pacific, Scott, and Springvale. Fast forward to 2002, Pardeeville EMS upgraded to the Advanced EMT or AEMT level, and in 2017 started offering local hospitals ALS and BLS transfers 24/7, while remaining 100% volunteer. Pardeeville EMS remained strictly volunteer until February of 2023 when the service, due to the shortage of volunteers and the continued increase in call volume, transitioned to hourly LTE employees as well as volunteer staff. This provided our coverage area with two ambulances staffed by hourly LTE employees at the AEMT level from 6AM-6PM. On the weekends and at night during the week, the service was still staffed by volunteers. Also new for 2023, was the addition of the Township of Fort Winnebago to our coverage area.
As of January 1st, 2024, Pardeeville EMS transitioned to a full-time Paramedic Level Service. Two Paramedic Ambulances are staffed 24/7 by in-house personnel. With this change, Pardeeville EMS can administer a higher level of pre-hospital care to our patients and save valuable time that would otherwise be needed to call for Paramedic Intercepts.
